We take a broad view when calculating the expense of IT which includes:

The total cost of ownership (TCO) of a product over its lifetime. Not simply its purchase price.

For example: The cost of training, licensing, and support for a piece of software, the cost of support and replacement of a piece of hardware.

We calculate TCO using hard, measurable data such as the per-hour, payroll cost:

  • of having employees waiting while workstations are fixed.
  • of waiting while old, slow machines grind away.
  • of peak-hour system failures and slowdowns.
  • of disaster and file recovery.
